Debt Collection Services

by admin on August 30, 2012

Our debt collection services are fast and efficient. We aim to keep things simple and transparent at all times.

Your debts will be loaded into our database and contact is established with your debtors by email, post or telephone.

We will keep you updated regularly by email or telephone.

If payment is not made, a default is registered against your debtor, which will damage their credit rating for a period of five years. This is done after sending a series of letters, making calls and where necessary visiting the debtor.

If a dispute is raised, we can aid with preparation of lodging a claim at the disputes tribunal. We will advise you if you have a good chance of winning the dispute.

A large percentage of the debts are collected without any form of legal proceedings. However if required and with your permission we outsource proceedings to a reputable and experienced solicitor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What do you charge for debt collection?
A. We charge a commission from 15% to 45% on amounts collected depending on the size, age and history of the debt. No collection, no commission. In most situations, our fee is added to the total debt so you have no out of pocket costs.

Whether we can do this is determined by your terms and conditions of service being worded correctly. Ask us!

Q. Are there any additional charges?
A. Any additional costs such as lodging a claim with the courts or disputes are payable by you. However, additional costs are discussed with you first. 90% of collections do not require legal action.

Q. Where is your office?
A. Our main office is based in Hamilton, but we have New Zealand wide coverage.

Q.Do I have to sign a contract?
A. We send you an email which you reply to confirming your request to collect a debt.

Q. What area do you collect debts in?
A. We collect anywhere in New Zealand.

A. $250

Q. What if the debtor disputes the debt?
A. We ask that the debtor formally dispute the debt in writing within 7 days. We then evaluate the dispute once received and discuss with you. In most situations, the “dispute” is not valid, and the debtor will not provide the details within 7 days. In this situation, we will continue pursuit. Where necessary, we will act in as a mediator between yourself and a debtor.

Q. Do you Sue Debtors?
A. We outsource all legal work if requested by you. Where possible we will provide a fixed price for this. Payment for legal work is required up front, but can also be added to the overall debt in most situations.

Q. How can we place accounts for collection?
A. Call us on 0800 110 727 for information or contact us via our online contact form or lodge debt form.
